Eight weeks ago, a trial found that 25-year-old Saville – now six weeks pregnant – had edited an image of a DNA test to say her current boyfriend was the father of her baby, rather than her ex Kyle Fitton, 28.

At the sentencing on Thursday (21 November) at Southampton Crown Court, judge Peter Henry said: “It seems to me that you were far from showing any acknowledgement of wrong doing, you were very far from showing any sort of remorse of what happened.

“Instead, you came across as vengeful.

“[The offence] wasn’t particularly sophisticated in its operation but it was an attempt by you to mislead the court.

“It seems to me that you were fully aware that the [false test] would be used in court proceedings and the intention here was to thwart the proper course of justice within the family court proceedings.

“[Mr Fitton] was kept from his children and they were kept from him and that went on for some time.”

Despite requests for a suspended sentence, Judge Henry dismissed this.

“You are pregnant but it’s quite clear that you became pregnant, knowing that you were facing a sentence for this matter and knowing that the court had warned you that custody was very much on the cards,” he said.

Saville has been sentenced to 32 months in jail and said she will also have to pay a victim surcharge.

Speaking after the conviction, Mr. Fitton, who didn’t get to meet his daughter until she was 15 months old, explained he had been left ‘broken’ by the ordeal.

He said: “It was quite frustrating – she was almost doing that to get at me. I knew from day one [the baby] was mine.

“I knew from that point, I had to fight this, I had to fight for the truth.

“I knew she was mine and I had to prove this just to get the truth. This is something no man or woman should ever have to go through.”

Saville created a fake DNA test after Mr. Fitton’s lawyer requested that one be carried out.

Months later, in July 2022, another DNA test was ordered at the Family Court which found Mr. Fitton was in fact the father.

After being arrested, the court heard that Saville told officers ‘biology didn’t mean anything’.

Opening the trial, prosecutor Nick Tucker said: “It’s plain she knew perfectly well Kyle Fitton was in fact the father.

“She provided a document which she knew to misrepresent [her child]’s paternity.

“She sought to mislead him and his solicitor and, if taken at face value, that test result might have deterred him from pursuing the proceedings any further.

“We say this was a spiteful and calculated attempt to derail his case by dishonest means.

“What she did was misleading because she made a positive assertion Danny was the father.”

Georgina Saville was found guilty of faking the DNA test result

A dad has spoken out about his heartbreak of having to wait months to meet his baby girl after a DNA test was falsified by his ex.

Kyle Fitton said a ‘spiteful’ Georgina Saville threatened he wouldn’t ‘ever’ get to see his kids again.

She had tried to de-rail the father’s legal bid to get access by claiming the baby’s biological dad was her new boyfriend, Danny Mellows. But after last week’s trial at Southampton Crown Court, she’s been warned she could now face jail after being convicted of perverting the course of public justice and a rare charge of wilfully making a false declaration as to a birth.

The pair already had a daughter together but she claimed their newborn wasn’t his in March 2022. Saville then presented a fake DNA test and lied on a birth certificate.

“It’s taken so long to get to this stage and to actually get to the truth,” the 28-year-old said. “It’s just a massive sense of relief. I have been quite upset, stressed all the time.”

Fitton’s children are now under legal guardianship of his mother, and he gets to see them every day. He explained that despite their toxic relationship, he ‘kept going back to’ Saville because of their eldest daughter.

“I wanted to be a family, I wanted to try my hardest and have that family, as one unit,” he added. Fitton said it was ‘frustrating’ when she claimed Mellows was the father as he ‘knew from day one’.

“I knew from that point, I had to fight this, I had to fight for the truth,” he said. “I knew she was mine and I had to prove this just to get the truth.”

MUM ADMITS HER 9-MONTH-OLD HAS MORE MONEY THAN HER

The court heard how Saville made Fitton and his mum follow strict ‘rules’ and at one point he worried she might carry out her threat of taking them away.

“It absolutely scared me. I thought I was going to have my girls taken from me and nothing could be done. I thought it was going to be the end of the world – they are my world.”

The dad said while his two daughter’s bond now is blossoming, the 15-month wait to meet his baby was heart-aching.

“[The newborn] had never met me, it took some time to bond that relationship.

“But now it’s amazing. We were finally united before her second birthday.”

On why it had taken so long, he said: “[Saville] said I was never allowed to meet [the baby], but mum was.

“Even if I said to mum [to say to Saville I wanted to] it would be a no. That’s when I had enough of it, I said I need to do something and that’s when I started court proceedings.

“And then it took a long, long time.”

Now, every day is ‘absolutely amazing’ as Fitton added: “It’s the best part of my day, knowing I finish work I get to go home and see my daughters.

“Walking into mum’s and they both shout ‘daddy’. It’s just a sense of relief they are there, they are happy and they are safe.”

Now the process is finally over, he says other mums or dads in similar situations ‘need to push for the truth’.

“This court case, the family court case has broken me, financially, emotionally and physically,” he said. “I’m glad I kept pushing and pushing until the truth came out. It has taken me two years to get access to the girls. It has killed me.”

British girl, 15, in critical condition after paraglider lands on her whilst on holiday

The family had been holidaying in Turkey when the tragedy struck

A 15-year-old British girl has been left in a critical condition after a paraglider landed on-top of her while on holiday.

Lily Nichol was enjoying a sun-soaked holiday to a resort in Oludeniz, Turkey with her mum and older sister when she was tragically hit by paraglider – leaving her in intensive care with hospital bills costing in the tens of thousands.

Recounting the events in a GoFundMe post set up to pay for the teenager’s growing medical costs, her mum Lyndsey Logan, 39, wrote: “We decided to go out for nice family meal before we were due to be picked up at 7.30 for our flight back to Newcastle.

“On this day at around 1pm as we were eating our food a tragic accident occurred involving my daughter Lily, age 15, she was wiped clean out by a man paragliding.”

She added: “Our lives have been ripped apart our little girls lying in Turkey.”

Lyndsey went on to explain how the paraglider ‘came out of nowhere’ and slammed Lily into the table while she was eating her lunch, causing the teenager to suffer extensive injuries to het head, neck and back.

“She face-planted the table and we tried to get her up. Obviously she was unconscious and she had a stroke while she was down. I thought she was dead,” Lyndsey recalled in an interview with The Sun.

Lily was then taken to a local hospital where she received stitches to her on her eye chin and tongue – leading to a bill of £7200, which the family have already paid.

Lyndsey also explained that she hadn’t been aware of the fact that their holiday hadn’t included travel insurance for the family, which means that she is now expected to pay all of Lily’s medical bills in Turkey.

However the mum would be hit with even more devastating news a day later, when doctors informed Lyndsey that Lily would need additional surgery on her jaw and back, which is said to cost the family around £45k.

“There’s no one else I can ask for help. They’re expecting us just to make a decision by tomorrow to carry on with the operation. I was like, that is money I don’t have,” she added.

“There’s no one who can give us that kind of money.”

Lyndsey has since created a GoFundMe page with the hope of raising enough funds to cover Lily’s treatment. The page has reached just over £22k at the time of writing, which is close to half of the target.

British mum is facing wait for DNA results after man claims to be her son who went missing in 1991

British mum is facing wait for DNA results after man claims to be her son who went missing in 1991

Kerry Needham has been searching for her missing son Ben for more than three decades

The mum of Ben Needham who disappeared as a toddler has spoken out as she faces an agonising wait for the results of a DNA test from a man who claims he is her missing son.

Kerry Needham, 51, has been searching for her child – who vanished in Kos, Greece, when he was just 21-months-old for more than three decades, but has still not given up hope that she will be reunited with him.

The tot was staying in the village of Iraklis on the island, where his grandparents Eddie and Christine had a holiday home, when he went missing on 24 July, 1991.

The couple had been looking after Ben while Kerry headed off to work, having just moved to Greece for a new start.

At around 2.30pm, his grandfather noticed that the youngster was no longer outside of the farmhouse that the family were renovating – but initially suspected Ben may have simply wandered off or was playing with one of his uncles.

Police were then called to investigate the situation.

Suspicion fell on Ben’s own relatives over the years and investigators carried out excavations at the farmhouse, although nothing was found.

In 2016, South Yorkshire Police expressed belief that Ben had died on the day he went missing in an accident with a digger driven by a local man, however, the family of the man have denied the claim he was involved.

Now, nearly 33 years on from his disappearance, his heartbroken mother Kerry is now anxiously awaiting to find out whether a Danish man who has claimed that he is the missing Brit is in fact her son.

It’s not the first time she’s had some hope that Ben could be coming home, as two other men have previously alleged that they are him throughout this year alone – an experience which Kerry described as ‘traumatic’.

Now, she faces what she hopes will be her third and final wait for DNA test results to see if it is actually her son.

A man from Denmark has alleged that his grandparents informed him he was taken from Kos as a child and that his parents have refused to deny the claims.

According to reports and adding to the mystery, the bloke insists he was hidden away for several years.

He also claims that he recalls visiting a market 25-years-ago and hearing someone shout ‘Ben’ at him, which then resulted in him being kept in a caravan.

Kerry explained that the Danish man’s DNA is being compared against a blood sample which was taken for the routine Guthrie heel-prick test when Ben was born at Boston Hospital in Lincolnshire.

Speaking to The Mirror, Kerry said: “This man is looking for his real family and he has given Danish police a sample of his DNA, which South Yorkshire Police are trying to get hold of via Interpol to do a comparison with Ben’s.

“In 33 years we’ve had hundreds of alleged sightings, the majority of them we have followed up ourselves in the earlier years. We’ve had DNA taken from people in Greece, Turkey, Germany and one in Florida and Australia.

“But at least South Yorkshire Police are trying to get me answers and I can’t praise them enough.”

Despite the force’s theory being that Ben was killed in a digger accident, Kerry believes cops can’t simply stop there as they have ‘nothing to go on’ and due to the fact that the driver ‘now won’t talk’ to police.

She added: “I can’t believe it’s been 33 years and in October he will be 35. My mum is 72 and dad is 76. I don’t want something to happen to my parents without them knowing.”

British man who sold 'dodgy firesticks' to stream Premier League football jailed for three years

British man who sold ‘dodgy firesticks’ to stream Premier League football jailed for three years

It’s argued he was being a ‘Robin Hood’

A British man who sold ‘dodgy firesticks’ for people to stream the football has been jailed for three years.

This comes as a huge crackdown has been underway in the UK with authorities tightening up on the use of IPTV and illegally modified Fire TV sticks.

Jonathan Edge, from Liverpool, was described by his lawyer as ‘helping the poor like Robin Hood’ after he ran a service uploading illegal services on to Firestick devices in return for cash-in-hand payments at his home.

The 29-year-old sold these dodgy sticks that enabled people to watch Premier League matches without having to pay for subscriptions.

But after being warned several times to pack it in, he ended up remanded in custody at the end of last month.

And yesterday (12 November), Edge pleaded guilty to three offences under the Fraud Act.

The Premier League confirmed he has now been jailed for three years and four months – including a separate sentence for accessing and viewing the content he supplied.

Julian Nutter, defending Edge, argued the man was helping those who would struggle to afford to access the football games.

“Whether or not he made a significant profit is an issue which is raised,” he said.

“The point should be made on his behalf that the people who would buy his products would not be people who are likely to have the money to buy a Sky subscription.”

But this did not stand as the judge stressed how legitimate subscribes are victims of fraudulent operations like the one Edge ran.

Kevin Plumb, Premier League General Counsel, said: “The significant sentence handed down to the individual involved once again serves to highlight the severity of his actions and we thank Merseyside Police for their support throughout the case. We will continue to pursue legal action against those supplying unauthorised access to Premier League football, regardless of the scale or mode of operation. Ignoring warnings to stop only served to make the consequences worse for the individual.

“The selling of broadcast rights supports the Premier League’s industry-leading financial contribution to the whole football pyramid and we’re pleased that the courts have once again recognised the importance of safeguarding these rights with the outcome of this case.

“No matter the scale, we will continue to protect these rights by carrying out investigations and prosecuting illegal operators at every level.”

And detective Sergeant Steve Frame from Merseyside Police said: “Merseyside Police is committed to working in collaboration to investigate intellectual property theft and we welcome today’s sentence handed to Edge.

“Many people see no harm in illegally streaming TV services but they are wrong, and this outcome should serve as a further warning how seriously such copyright theft continues to be taken.”
