Young Boy Charged After ‘Dumping Boiling Water On Friend’ In Sleepover Prank
A group of boys, aged between 12 and 15 are facing charges after a sleepover prank went very wrong.
Three of the boys allegedly poured boiling water on the face of the victim while he slept, resulting in serious burns and the young boy needing surgery.
The boys mother, Tiffany, has shared that her 12-year-old child is ‘in shock’ and has second degree burns. Speaking to WALB 10, Tiffany said: “I mean, I really can’t describe it now. In that moment I was just mad, hurt, in shock. Everything, I was seeing red. I was just trying to hurry up and get him some help,”
The concerned mom went on: “He was transported to the burn center in Augusta. He had to have surgery. Of course, he is out of surgery and is recovering at home, now. But it is going to take him 12-14 days to heal.”
The burns centre was located around 200 miles away from their family home.
Due to the travel involved with his recovery, the parents were unable to work. The 12-year-old’s aunt shared that he ‘is gonna have to get counseling to be able to trust people again’.
The other 3 boys were allegedly taken into custody and are awaiting their hearing, which will take place next month.
We wish him a fast recovery.
